Next
step is to enter (or try to enter) a NW1 trial. They are hard to get
into. The first one I am going to try to enter is February 21 near
Baltimore. The period you can enter is open for 48 hours only, starting
with noon tomorrow (Monday). The entry form is online. After the 48
hours the dogs are picked by random draw (just like tracking). There are
only 40 dogs that can be entered. If we get in, there are
4 areas that have to be searched. They are exterior, vehicles, indoors
and containers. To pass, Beau would have to pass all 4! If there is
one failure, we are out of luck. If Beau finds all 4, he then gets the
title of NW1.
Good luck to both of them!
It was a busy year for the pups, titles were earned in obedience and rally, legs/qualifying scores were achieved in agility, and obedience, there was a move across the country and lots of hours were spent training, traveling and enjoying our wonderful and talented pups. I hope you continue to share your adventures with all of us. This is a short post but I plan to write a bigger one soon. And hopefully that one will include pictures!
