Happy New Year, welcome to 2013!

I have a post that I meant to put online before the holidays but well, I was busy.  But thanks to Art we have our first post of the new year.  Read on...

Happy New Year to all the M&M pups and their faithful human companions!  Attached is a picture of Milo sporting his new winter coat.

Tres chic, no?  Winter has finally come to my corner of the world.  This morning when I took Milo for a long walk winter walk at the Izaak Walton League, he simply had to have on his winter coat.   Milo’s new coat is being put away for a couple of weeks, as Milo and I leave for Florida on Tuesday.  Milo loves to travel and is very good in a car.  My parents, who are not in good physical health,  enjoy having Milo around.  They lost their dog last year and cannot get another dog, so Milo fills a gap in their lives.  Milo has learned that my father is fragile and is very careful around him.  He has also learned that if he leaves a ball in his lap he will throw it again and again and again.   We take lots of long walks in Florida and visit the dog park at Venice beach as much as we can.  Otherwise the Florida parks either do not allow dogs  or they must be on a leash at all times.  There are alligators everywhere and the open land near where my parents live has wild boars.  No doubt Milo would like to meet Mr. Pig, but I suspect it would not end well for him.

Milo and I are continuing our obedience training and have started agility.  I will let you know how he does in both arenas.

All the best to you, with wishes for a healthy and prosperous New Year.

Enjoy the trip to Florida you two, we look forward to hearing stories of happenings in the south when you return north.

Anyone else have anything to share for the new year?  Swing may hit another show in the next month or so, we'll look at judges and go from there.  Last month she was back in the ring for two days and she was Reserve to a major the one day.  She looks pretty immature compared to the other bitches in her class so we aren't expecting to pick up points just yet.  I'm sure Ella and Gracie Dot are slow to mature as well so we need to be patient.  And on that note I'll sign off!   Happy New Year everyone!
